Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DOZIAI PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U43309KA2026PTC220286), a company incorporated in India with its registered office in Bengaluru, Karnataka (“Dozi”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use dozi.ai, the Dozi dashboard, our mobile apps, the AI chat, our calculators and guides, and the emails and messages we send you (together, the “Services”).

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), Dozi is the Data Fiduciary for your personal data. This policy does not apply to third-party websites we link to, including sources cited in AI answers.

Our public calculators (EMI, stamp duty, construction cost, and similar) run in your browser. They do not read your project, and we do not store what you enter in them.

Please do not share details we don’t need in chats, images, or documents. This includes Aadhaar, PAN, bank account numbers, health information, and other people’s personal data.

• Provide the Services: create your account, sign you in, save your project, answer your questions using your project details and documents, and show your history.
• Payments and plans: process purchases and renewals through Razorpay, activate plans, apply coupons and upgrade credit, enforce plan limits, send renewal reminders, and keep billing records.
• Safety: check uploads for prohibited content, prevent abuse and fraud, enforce our Terms, and meet legal reporting duties. Authorised staff review a chat or upload only when our systems flag it or when you ask us for help with it.
• Improving answers: when an answer relies on web sources, we may review the search query and answer, without your name or account details, to add verified information to Dozi’s knowledge base. We use your feedback ratings to measure answer quality.
• Communications: send passcodes, receipts, renewal and expiry reminders, and service notices.
• Analytics: understand how the Services are used and measure our advertising (see Section 8).
• Legal: comply with law, court orders, and lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not allow our AI providers to use it to train their models.

When you ask Dozi a question:

• Your question and recent messages from the same chat are sent to an AI service provider to understand what you are asking.
• We search Dozi’s knowledge base and the documents in your project, using a search service provider to index and rank them.
• If more current information is needed, a search query based on your question is sent to a web search provider. Web results may appear as cited links.
• An AI service provider writes the answer, and we may automatically check that it matches its sources.

Images you attach are converted to a standard format, stripped of location and camera data (EXIF), and checked automatically for prohibited content before use. Chat images are deleted after 90 days unless we must keep them as evidence (see Section 10).

Documents you add to a project are stored privately and used only to answer your questions.

AI answers can be wrong. See our Terms of Service for details.

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you create an account or use a feature after seeing this notice. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, but we may no longer be able to provide some Services.

We may also process data without consent where the DPDP Act permits it, including data you voluntarily provide for a specific purpose, compliance with law or court orders, medical emergencies, and the other legitimate uses under Section 7 of the Act.

We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under contract, for these purposes:

We also disclose data when required by law (courts, law enforcement, or regulators); to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, Dozi, or the public; and as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where the recipient must honour this policy. Otherwise, we share data only with your consent.

Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect your account: dc_access (session), dc_refresh (keeps you signed in), and dc_csrf (blocks forged requests). The Services cannot work without them.

Analytics and advertising. Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, and the Meta Pixel to measure the results of our ads on Meta platforms. These tools set cookies and send Google and Meta information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, and your IP address. We do not send them your chats, your project, or your payment details.

To opt out, you can install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on, adjust your ad preferences in your Meta account, or block third-party cookies and trackers in your browser settings. Blocking these does not affect how Dozi works.

We protect data with encryption in transit, hashed passcodes, private storage with short-lived access links, removal of location data from images, bot protection, access controls, and monitoring. No system is completely secure.

If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Act and its rules, including what happened, what data was involved, and what you can do.

You have the right to:

• Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with.
• Correct, complete, or update your data.
• Have your chats or your whole account erased.
• Withdraw consent.
• Nominate someone to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
• Have your grievance addressed.

You can edit your profile and notification settings in Settings. For any other request, email [email protected] from your registered email address, or mention your registered phone number. We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

We send service messages such as sign-in codes, receipts, renewal and expiry reminders, notices about your account (a suspension, and our reply to a review request), and important changes to our terms. You cannot turn these off while you have an account.

Promotional emails and product news are optional. Each includes an unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings → Notifications.
